Apple’s four new iPhone 12 models (iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 12 Mini) feature a great 5G camera and restore the MagSafe charger, a beloved Apple MacBook feature.

Since the launch of the iPhone 12 series, Apple has released a small number of MagSafe accessories, including leather wallets and some protective cases. Now, according to a new report, Apple is preparing another MagSafe accessory similar to the smart battery box.

According to Bloomberg News, Apple is developing a new battery pack that can magnetically connect to the latest iPhones and supports wireless charging. However, unlike Apple’s previously released smart battery case, the new MagSafe accessory cannot be used as a complete protective case.

Evidence of magnetic battery accessories actually appeared in the beta version of iOS 14.5 but was later removed.

Apple has reportedly been developing accessories for over a year and may launch them in the coming months. Bloomberg reported that some prototypes of battery packs have white rubber casings, but it’s not clear if Apple will adopt this design in its final products.

It’s not even clear if there is a final product. The development has delayed due to software issues that may have reportedly overheated the battery pack.

Bloomberg said: Apple is also working hard to resolve issues released to switching devices used by customers on the iPhone. Apple may give up its accessories altogether, with or without a phone case.

After the infamous AirPower mistake, Apple was reportedly particularly cautious about the new MagSafe accessory. Apple launched the wireless charging pad in 2017.

It promises to charge your Apple Watch, iPhone, and AirPods at the same time. However, engineering challenges eventually forced Apple to cancel the product.

So far, Apple has released several MagSafe accessories such as cases, leather wallets, and chargers, including the MagSafe Duo charger that can charge your iPhones and Apples, Watch at the same time.

Apple’s MagSafe battery allows the company to compete with similar devices from other accessory makers.

A Bloomberg report also said Apple hopes to eventually establish an ecosystem where many devices support reverse charging.

And also, this feature was expected on the iPhone 12 series but canceled. Unfortunately, according to the report. The new features offered by some Apple competitors are “unlikely soon.”

In addition to the iPhone, MagSafe technology will be used in other Apple products. Such as the redesigned MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
