The quickest and simplest option to try.

Android

  1. To access the Quick Settings panel, slide down from the top of your screen.
  2. Wait for your phone to entirely disengage from its Wi-Fi and cellular connections after tapping the Airplane symbol. 
  3. It won’t happen right away, so wait 30 seconds before tapping on the Airplane mode symbol again.

iPhone

  1. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to access the control center.
  2. On previous iPhone models, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tapping the Airplane mode symbol. 
  4. When activated, it will turn orange. Wait up to a minute before turning it off once more.

Your phone should be restarted.

You can restart your phone. But do not deactivate it and do not reactivate it.

Android

  1. Depending on your Android phone, press and hold the power button or the power button and the volume down key until the on-screen menu shows, then select restart.
