SharePlay
SharePlay was supposed to release with Appl iOS 15. But Apple delayed it till the next update, and here it is!!
Share Play allows you to stream films, listen to music while on face time calls. This feature lets you share the screen during the call and let enjoy them as you by watching the same movie and listening to the same music. Not only that, SherePaly allows you to share the phone screen with others as when you are doing some group planning of help to fix some troubleshoot.
ProRes
ProRes is another significant feature in the iOS 15.1 update. ProRes is a kind of professional video recording format. This feature lets you record your video with high color fidelity and a lossless (technically, less compressed) format.
Prores feature is exclusively available on iPhone 13 ProMax and iPhone Pro 13, and it will be less widely known.
However, the Prores feature outcome takes a lot of your iPhin’s due to the quality. Hence, you are limited to recording 1080p at 30fps with your 128GB iPhone. Certainly, iPhones with higher storage will allow you to register with 4K quality at 30fps. As a fact, Apple says 1 min 10-bit rate HDR Prores video will take 1.7GB in the HD mode and 6Gb in 4K mode.
You can enable the feature by going to the camera section, tapping the formats, and selecting the “ProRes” option.
Auto Macro Toggle
Then we are shooting a close distance object, we have to change the camera to a wide lens. This feature allows you to automatically switch the lens into Ultra Wide when you shoot an object at a close distance. iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro max have 2cm minimum focus distance.
A wide lens is not a 100% solution to the close-ups. So, you may not be a fan of this feature every time. But it will allow you to handle the phone moe quality and easy while you are taking close-ups.
You can set the Auto Macro by going to the camera setting and toggling the Auto Macro Function.
Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos with Spatial Audio
When paired with the HomePod 15.1 software, iOS 15.1 brings you the best quality lossless Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio to HomePod and HomePod mini.
You can activate this feature by the Home settings. Go to Home settings, select your profile, and under the media tap on Apple Music and toggle on Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos.
Covid 19 Vaccine Card in the Wallet App
With the iOS 15.1 update, you will add the Covid 19 vaccination details into the Wallet App. Suppose your heal care provider has already synced the vaccination data with your health app. In that case, the data will already be there. And you will be able to add a verified vaccination card to the wallet app with a QR code.
You can show the QR code in restaurants, hotels, offices, or any place that requests you to verify your vaccination status.
However, this feature may not be available in every state. California, Louisiana, New York, Virginia, Hawaii, and some mary land counties support smart heal cards, allowing getting your vaccine details. Walmart, Sam’s Club, and CVS Health also do the same. So, get the vaccination from these people. You will be able to create a verified vaccination card in your iPhone Wallet.
